Better Brakes have been specialising in servicing brakes since 1930. They are the oldest firm in the industry and have an excellent reputation that is second to none. They have been operating in Penrith, at 71-73 Union Road, since 1977.

Brakes are so important that we only use the highest quality products available. Traditionally, the brake friction material used was asbestos. Today, there are a number of different friction compounds used. These newer compounds are often impregnated with metals to provide for better stopping performance in high stress situations.

Pressure and heat are the greatest enemies of brake friction materials. It has become imperative to fit only brake friction material of the highest quality to withstand these extreme conditions on a day to day basis.
